Liffey Crossing Introduction
Liffey Crossing, the dynamic folk music duo hailing from Dublin, Ireland, formed after Jordan Lively and Kevin Meehan completed two summer seasons of regular gigging around Dublin City.
The duo have already established a fresh and unique sound on the Irish folk music scene playing songs and Irish tunes both old and new.
The debut Liffey Crossing album titled ‘Liffey Crossing’ was released online in June 2024 and Jordan and Kevin are keen to share their contemporary take on Irish music on festival stages in Ireland and around the world.
Jordan Lively
Jordan Lively is a traditional guitarist and singer from Mayobridge, Co. Down. Recently graduated with a BA in Irish Music from the Irish World Academy, he maintains a busy schedule of teaching and performing internationally and at home.
Kevin Meehan
Hailing from County Dublin, Kevin Meehan is widely recognised in Ireland and around the world as one of the best tin whistle players and composers of new Irish music on the traditional Irish music scene and the Irish folk music scene.
Kevin is a sought after session musician and at 27 years old he has become a master of the Irish tin whistle, pushing the instrument to its limits in a new and fresh direction. Kevin’s solo album ‘Spanish Point’, which is available to stream on Spotify was described by the Irish Music Magazine as an '“exquisite collaboration of sound”. Kevin has also released the first single ‘Rust From The Storm’ from his new solo project called Solar Grove.
